We are looking for the right people to join our existing team in the following areas; Cook. We also have an opening for a Chief Instructor.

All employees are chosen for their expected affinity with groups and ability to relate well with customers as well as their likelihood of fitting smoothly into the staff team. We feel that this is often more important than huge numbers of qualifications.

Employees are expected to be enthusiastic and willing to participate in the life of the centre as well as being motivated and willing to learn and improve their skills.

Food will be offered free during working hours, when we are catering for other groups. Shared accommodation is available for a small cost.

All staff must be checked by disclosure Scotland, the cost of this is to be paid by the employee. (currently £20)

Applicants will be expected to provide 2 referees.

Cook

We are looking for a full time cook to cater for residential groups. Duties will involve cooking and serving meals to a variety of customer groups, food ordering, budgeting,management of domestic assistant and menu development. Some experience of cooking for large groups is preferred but not essential.

Basic Food Hygiene qualification necessary. Hours to suit the group staying.

Chief Instructor

Applicants will have a passion for the outdoors and enthusiasm for inspiring others to explore and learn.

You will need a background in a wide range of outdoor activities and have experience working in a variety of centres and environments.

Applicants will be expected to be experienced or qualified in a selection of the following; minimum level 3 kayak or canoe, spa, gnas, trail cycle leader, sml, SRA level 3 raft guide, gorge ascents, duckys.

A good knowledge of health and safety systems is required.

The job will include management of the safety systems, training of staff, delivering activity sessions, planning and development of activities and the centre generally.
