What are they? Our camps are an exciting trip away for kids crammed
full of activity and fun. They are based on our experiences running school
residential groups over many years and so while enjoyment is high on our list
of priorities so is safety. The camps during summer are designed for 8-12 year olds
whilst at Easter we welcome slightly older children aged 12-14years. Summercamps start on a Sunday evening at 7pm and keep the
children occupied right through to 11am the following Friday morning. Easter
camp starts at 11am on the Tuesday morning after Easter Monday and finishes
at 12.30pm on the following Friday afternoon. Activities We will be
doing a range of activities
each day including some in the evenings. Throughout the camp we will run a
varied selection of our activities from thrilling white water rafting and
gorge ascents to nature walks, archery, off road biking and climbing. We also
allow free time for playing games at the local park or socialising
in the lounge with the other children. Where do they stay? We normally
split the children into small groups, between 4 and 6 for each bunkstyle bedroom. There is a large comfortable lounge on
the ground floor where the children are able to gather and socialise. There
is also a sizeable dining room for meal times and a games room which has many
uses from indoor games and meetings to being transformed into a disco hall. What do they eat? All the food
provided will be home cooked and varied throughout the week. Take a look at
our Food page for details on our catering principles.
We will happily cater to any dietary requirements and will ask you before the
camp to let us know of any allergies or intolerances, as well as any medical
conditions we should know about. Who will look after them? Your children
will be carefully monitored the whole time they are with us. There will be
both a male and a female instructor on duty at all times, including through
the night. All of our staff have enhanced
disclosures from Disclosure Scotland. Every activity will be run by
appropriately trained and qualified members of staff, who are experienced at
working with this age group. When is it? We usually
run two summer camps and one easter camp a year.
The dates for 2009 are: Eastercamp:
April 14th - 17th Summercamp:
July 19th – 24th, August 2nd - 7th. What does it cost? Eastercamp: £245 Summercamp: £255
